Patty Lustig launched her business over 7 years ago when she partnered with Sandra at Decor&You DC.  She started in the Northern Virginia area for 5 years, moved with her family to Myrtle Beach, SC for 2 years,  and recently moved back to Springfield, VA in 2009.  Her clients were delighted.  A professionally trained culinary chef, Patty has combined her hospitality experience and ability to work under extremely difficult deadlines with her unmatched sense of style and international exposure to create a thriving business.

While in Myrtle Beach, her business had a emphasis on condominium rentals and incidentally had numerous clients based in the greater Washington, D.C. area who have purchased vacation and rental properties in South Carolina.  Whether a rental property or a primary residence, Patty says, “My goal is to help each client create the kind of space that reflects their personal style; the kind of space that they will love to be in day after day.

When Patty moved back to the area, she decided to expand her business and added another talented decorator, Francesca O’Connor.  Francesca’s diverse background as a highly successful paralegal and a trained, Egyptian-style belly dancer, illustrates how she incorporates the practical with her passion for the Arts. With every project, big or small, Francesca puts all of her heart and soul into her designs to achieve her client’s dreams. ”Life is too short, live it and love it,” is a philosophy that Francesca incorporates in all her designs.

Patty’s offices manages each project from beginning to end, from inspiration through implementation.  Their projects include residential and commercial projects.  All projects usually include a variety of needs including furniture and other merchandise, space planning, color scheme selection, flooring, accessories, as well as, kitchen and bathroom renovation in some cases.

Both Patty and Francesca completed their training and design education under the studies of renowned Interior designer Mary Gilliatt.  “I have always enjoyed helping people feel good. As a decorator, I enjoy being able to help improve people’s way of life by enhancing the space around them”.
